I used to think ice baths could improve sleep, tighten skin, and boost the immune system, but after healing from anxiety and depression in Asia, I found they actually do the opposite. Cold exposure triggers the release of cortisol, the stress hormone, putting the body into "fight or flight" mode and disrupting its natural processes. Instead of ice baths, I now use warm baths and hot showers, which help reduce stress and allow the body to function properly. This approach has been far more effective in promoting overall well-being.
