Are you using ice baths to improve your sleep, tighten up your skin and boost your immune system? ❄️🚿

Many people believe that ice cold baths offer these benefits. But, I’m here to share a different perspective based on my experience and what I learned during healing my anxiety and depression in Asia. 🙅‍♂️

I’ve found that exposing the body to cold temperatures doesn’t help with enhancing your immune system, your skin condition or improving your sleep. In fact, it does quite the opposite. The body responds by releasing cortisol, the stress hormone, and enters a constant “fight or flight” mode. 😓

In trying to warm itself back to its regular temperature, many of the body’s processes don’t function as they should. 🔥➡️🚫

That’s why I stopped taking ice baths. Instead of helping, they were more likely to worsen body issues, disrupt my sleep, make me look older than I am and weaken my immune system. ❌

What I’ve switched to instead are warm baths and hot showers 🛁🚿. These help to release stress in the body, allowing it to focus on its regular processes. ✨
