Cold exposure triggers the release of cortisol, the stress hormone, putting the body into "fight or flight" mode and disrupting its natural processes. Instead of ice baths, I now use warm baths and hot showers, which help reduce stress and allow the body to function properly. This approach has been far more effective in promoting overall well-being.
